In preparation for summer events, Brooke shares four timeless looks to wear this season and beyond.
Can you tell us a little about your event season wardrobe? What styles are you drawn to?
I tend to opt for outfits in a neutral colour palette. I keep it classic with black and white but also explore greys, tans, cream, and the odd colour here and there.
I really love the versatility of linen. It can be worn from day to night with ease. I could wear a linen dress casually with flats and sunglasses for an effortless daytime feel, or back with a heel, evening bag and statement earring for a chic night look.
I love the versatility of a set like this. The crisp white top and skirt is super fresh and the perfect summer event option. Wear it dressed down with a classic flat, simple jewellery and sunglasses, or up like I have with a statement earring, heel and clutch. Not only can the pieces be worn together, they can also be worn individually with your other wardrobe essentials.
How do you dress up pared-back silhouettes and colours?
I prefer to style pared-back silhouettes with contrasting accessories for a more elevated look. Instead of everyday minimal jewellery, opt for a statement earring or a bold necklace. For the shoes, swap out your flats or sneakers for a heel. Leave your daytime bag at home and take a clutch for your smarter festivities.
This dress is classic and striking. It’s already a beautiful statement piece as it is, so I have simply styled it with a strappy heel and a large pair of earrings. This look would suit a dressier event, but as it’s linen, it can easily be worn to a more casual affair with flats.

How do accessories play into your looks?
I like to accessorise minimally. I feel an outfit doesn’t have to be heavily styled—less is more. A statement earring back with a dress is classic and elegant and will be forever timeless.
"I would wear this set to a wedding or night event. I've paired it with a deep green statement hoop earring and a simple heel. You could also wear the top more casually in summer with a flat, and the skirt could be paired with a tee and sneakers for a chic brunch look".
